I am Clarissa, founder of Clarissa K, and I am so happy you are here.
If there is one thing I have learnt throughout my journey in the beauty industry, it is that beauty has very little to do with perfection. It is about how we feel in ourselves. It is about taking time to reconnect, nurturing the relationship we have with ourselves and recognising that we deserve to feel good, inside and out.
For me, beauty has always been about so much more than what we see in the mirror. It is about the experience, the energy, the confidence and the little moments of self-care that remind us who we are.
And that is the feeling I wanted to create with Clarissa K.
My journey into beauty
I have spent over 25 years working in the beauty industry. What began as a passion for beauty, skincare and helping women feel good about themselves has evolved into something much bigger.
Like many journeys, mine has not been a straight line. I have experienced the excitement of building a business, the challenges of getting things wrong, the lessons that come with starting over and the personal growth that happens when life takes you in a completely different direction.
There was a time when I had my own salon before life took an unexpected turn. It was not the ending I had imagined, but looking back, I can see how much that experience taught me about business, resilience and myself.
After moving from London to Blackpool, I found myself entering a different chapter of life. It was a time of rebuilding, rediscovering who I was and reconnecting with the things that genuinely mattered to me.
My journey also became more deeply connected to wellness and personal development. I began to understand that how we care for ourselves goes far beyond the physical.
Sometimes, the most beautiful transformations begin within.
The birth of Clarissa K
In September 2023, I took a leap of faith and started Clarissa K from a small beauty room within an existing hair salon. It was not a grand beginning, but it was mine.
I had a vision, a wealth of experience and a determination to build something that reflected the woman I had become and the kind of experience I wanted to offer.
Little by little, Clarissa K grew. From that original treatment room, the business developed into a beautiful boutique space, bringing together beauty, skincare and wellness. Today, the premises include two treatment rooms alongside dedicated hairdressing and nail salon spaces.
Every stage has been a reminder that you do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes you simply need the courage to take the next step.
I am incredibly proud of how far Clarissa K has come.

I believe that looking after ourselves should never feel like an indulgence we have to justify. We spend so much of our time looking after everyone and everything else that we can sometimes forget to pour a little of that care back into ourselves.
